Maremma Park

Maremma Park

Maremma Park was the first regional park to be established and recognized by the European Community. In complete balance between uncontaminated nature and respectful human intervention, the park extends for 10,000 hectares, which includes all the ecosystems of the area: from sea to pine forests, from steep coasts to beaches, from wild to farmed. The park is home to all species of wild animals in the area, such as wild boar and roe deer, but also to domesticated animals, such as horses and cattle, which represent the lifeblood of this region.
